Ryan Andrews is a very talented film director and he was asked to do a string of music videos for pop star Charli XCX during her rise to fame.
For this video, we collaborated from the story boards onwards where I was asked to create the graphics that would overlay the video and provide quirky visual cues for the lyrics. All were crafted on an 8x8 pixel photoshop art board for a genuine 8-bit graphic. Fitting with the old school nature of the video and to give the rough style recording some added bounce.
The video has gone well over 4 million views.
